Portraits were painted from photographs sent online via an advert on social media posted on Day One of the Global House Arrest Feb 2020–March 2023,

€20 portraits to raise morale, inspire others to create and of course to help pay for food, paint & studio rent.

The result: An Exhibition of 50 + Portraits by the first unlocked summer, August 2020. Titled Isolated Portraits by Alexander Paton took place at the Artists Studio Residence make-shift Gallery in the upstairs canteen of TreehouseNDSM, T.T.Neveritaweg, Amsterdam.

Isolated Portraits at Josephine Colson Gallery

Thé follow up show of Isolated Portraits featuring more work on the series were hanging from Oct 2020 till February 2021 in Josephine Colsen Gallery as part of the red light arts festival curated by Juan Carlos Tajes Baddouh.

The show was cancelled on the evening of the opening, due to mis-management of planet Earth.
